It came out of nowhere and has latched on for dear life, like one clinging to anything in sight in a shipwreck. We cannot seem to shake the nightmare that is the COVID-19 pandemic. <\/p>\n<p>The coronavirus pandemic has caused so much pain and sorrow that to complain about having to change plans would be <b>a slap in the face<\/b> to those who have suffered from it. Therefore, I will not complain. Instead, I will just say that I have had to change my plans to go back to my home country.  <\/p>\n<p>I had plans to go back home to visit my family last year but, unfortunately, I had to cancel them once the pandemic hit.  Being able to get just a little bit of home is good for one\u2019s mental health, but I was robbed of that opportunity. At the time of making the necessary arrangements to go home, it had been four years since I had been back, so you can imagine how <b>ecstatic<\/b> I was. I was jumping for joy, but my happiness was <b>fleeting<\/b>.
