My family discovered it when they last visited. Most of my family is either vegetarian, mostly vegetarian or vegan, including me. I eat some meat, but not many kinds and not often. My family discovered a vegan restaurant in the southern end of Tokyo station. It is called “T’s Tantan”. It serves very nice noodle dishes and has a few other things, but all of the food is vegan and what I have tried is delicious. Despite living in Japan for years, I had never tried shoyu ramen until recently, because ramen is almost never vegetarian or vegan. I loved it and have come back to this restaurant several times already. Each time I have gone, I have ordered a shoyu ramen set, which comes with a side dish of curry on rice, which is also quite good. I noticed that the restaurant seemed popular with both Japanese and non Japanese and was always pretty full each time I have visited so far. I think that the prices are reasonable and the food is very satisfying. The tofu is tender, the noodles are just right, and the broth is soothing… I really want to go there again now…

Raphael

Vocabulary

vegetarian (adj.) ? not eating any meat from animals
vegan (adj.) ? only eating things that do not come from animals (no meat, milk, eggs, etc.)
tender (adj.) ? easy to chew or cut

There is a restaurant in Tokyo Station that I have started to go to frequently.
